Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and tracks nothing. The only personal data it handles is what you type into the enquiry form.
Who is responsible
Charlie Swinhoe, Exeter, United Kingdom. For anything on this page, email charlie@dizzyotter.com.
The enquiry form
The form collects your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message field. It is sent to Netlify Forms, which stores submissions so I can read and reply to them. Netlify is the company that hosts this site.
I use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to carry on that conversation. I do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted me, so I reply.
How long it is kept
Enquiries stay in Netlify while they are useful. Ask me to delete yours and I will.
Cookies and analytics
There are none. No cookies are set, nothing is written to browser storage, and no third-party scripts run. The typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here. If that ever changes, this page changes with it and you will be asked first where consent is required.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any host, their servers keep standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses. That is Netlify’s processing rather than mine, and it is covered by their own privacy terms.
Links out
There are links to my companies and to social platforms. Once you follow one you are on their site, under their terms, not mine.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to my holding it. Email me and I will sort it. If you are not happy with how I handle that, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
If this changes, the version here changes. There is no archive of old ones, because there has only ever been this one.
